Where do I begin with this month...hmmm well, on August 4th Jesse and I attended the Lady Antebellum concert and got a call from the babysitter saying Kennedy had rolled over the exercise ball and landed "wrong" on her arm. August 5th the kids and I packed up the car and drove to Iowa for our "planned" visit. On August 6th we had x-rays done to confirm she in fact had broken her radius. August 8th at 6 am I receive a phone call from Jesse asking, "would you like the good news or the bad news?" A tree in our backyard fell during a severe storm and took out two additional trees in its path. The tree landed on the house and caused a hole in our roof, damaged the gutters and siding, but we were very lucky, the damage could have been much worse. On August 9th Kennedy gets a bright pink cast on her arm. Much to her happiness her outfit coordinated with her cast color. The kids and I cut our visit short and started our trip home on Wednesday the 11th and since then the month has been well do I dare say uneventful???? We will knock on wood, just for the sake of being superstitious!
